Dear Parent,

 

Thank you for your interest in a Christian education for your child and in Grace Christian Academy. Grace Christian Academy is a private, non-profit Christian school in Bryson City, which will offer structured classes from Three-Year-Old Kindergarten through the sixth grade for the 2007-2008 academic year.

 

Each class is operated with a traditional education philosophy, which provides teacher-directed learning and allows each student opportunities to excel in each subject taught. Using the A Beka curriculum (www.abeka.com) each subject is taught from a Christian perspective including Bible, History, Mathematics, Science/Health, and English.

 

For your information, I have enclosed a GCA brochure, which outlines the four cornerstones of operation at GCA, a brief history of the school and our doctrinal statement. To give you some idea of the day-to-day activities at Grace, I have also enclosed a current copy of the school newsletter "Eye of the Eagle" and a copy of the calendar for the current school year.

 

Should you decide to enroll your child at Grace, the enclosed Health Assessment and Application should be filled out and returned to the school office with the registration and book fees. Finally, you will find tuition schedules listed for the preschool as well as the elementary school on the last enclosed sheet.

 

At Grace Christian Academy, we gladly accept the biblical mandate that children should be instructed in the ways of God (Deut 31:12-13; Proverbs 22:6) and humbly partner with the parents to encourage children to "increase in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man" (Luke 2:52).
