Doctrinal Statement of Faith

  • We Believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible.
    • 2nd Timothy 3:16 (NKJV)
      •  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

  • We Believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
    • Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)
      • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth
    • John 10:30 (NKJV)
      • (Jesus Speaking) - I and My Father are one.
    • John 15:26 (NKJV)
      • But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

  • We Believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.
    • 1st John 5:6-7 (NKJV)
      • This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
    • Isaiah 7:14 (NKJV)
      • Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
    • Matthew 1:23 (NKJV)
      • “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
    • Luke 1:35 (NKJV)
      • And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

  • We Believe that the heavens, earth, and all of nature were created by God, (did not evolve), and that man was created in God's image.
    • Genesis 1 (The Entire Chapter)
    • Genesis 2:4-7 (NKJV)
      • This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown.  For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.  And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being (or in the KJV - a living soul).

  • We Believe in the diety of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutional atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory.
    • Hebrews 4:15 (NKJV)
      •  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
    • Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)
      • Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
    • Hebrews 9:12 (NKJV)
      •  Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
    • Colossians 1:14 (NKJV)
      •  in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
    • John 11:25 (NKJV)
      • Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
    • Acts 1:1-3 (NKJV)
      • The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
    • Revelation 19:1-16 (NKJV)
      • After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!  For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”  Again they said, “Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!”  And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, “Amen!  Alleluia!”  Then a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”  And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia!  For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!  Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”  And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.  Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’”  And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”  And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that!  I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus.  Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”  Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse.  And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.  His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns.  He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.  He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.  And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.  Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron.  He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

  • We Believe that Salvation is by grace through faith and not of works.
    • Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)
      • For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

  • We Believe that the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life by the continuing ministry of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
    • Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)
      • And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit
    • 1st Corinthians 3:16 (NKJV)
      • Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
